If you enjoyed the part of this class that included viewing classmates' photos on Flickr and getting feedback on your own Flickr images, here's a good opportunity:
Strobist (a popular blog on the topic of off-camera flash and lighting) will begin a Lighting 102 series on June 4th. The series is free. It will include educational information and photography assignments. Participants will post their assignment images to the Flickr Strobist Group. Strobist emphasizes inexpensive, do-it-yourself lighting gear over the expensive variety. (You'll find them modifying a flash with the cardboard from a cereal box before recommending that you buy a new gizmo.) Check out the details on the Lighting 102 series, and consider joining in!
